OVerview
I redesigned the Product Detail Page (PDP) for Lane201, optimizing it for mobile-first, fully responsive performance across all screen sizes. The goal was to enhance product presentation, simplify the purchase process, and increase conversions through a cleaner, more intuitive layout.
Problem
The original PDP had several friction points that impacted the shopping experience and conversion rates:
Cluttered product information, making it difficult for users to scan key details
Weak hierarchy, with important elements like pricing and CTAs not prioritized
A non-optimized mobile experience that required excessive scrolling
Lack of urgency and trust signals, missing key elements like reviews and stock indicators
Solution
To create a seamless and conversion-optimized shopping experience, I implemented:
Mobile-First, Fully Responsive Design
Ensured smooth usability across all screen sizes with optimized spacing, font scaling, and interactive elements
Improved image responsiveness for better product visibility
Stronger Product Presentation
Designed larger, high-quality product images with a carousel layout for easier browsing
Enhanced variant selection to be clearer and more user-friendly
Streamlined Purchase Flow
Implemented a sticky “Add to Cart” button for easy access while scrolling
Prioritized pricing, product options, and CTA placement for faster decision-making
Trust & Conversion Boosting Features
Added star ratings and customer reviews near the CTA to reinforce purchase confidence
Introduced "Low Stock" alerts and estimated shipping times to create urgency
Structured product details into expandable accordions, keeping the page clean while allowing users to find key information quickly
Results
Increased conversion rates due to a clearer layout and more accessible CTAs
Optimized product viewing and checkout flow for a seamless experience on mobile, tablet, and desktop
Reduced drop-offs by improving navigation, usability, and trust-building elements
A visually refined PDP that aligns with Lane201’s branding and improves the overall shopping experience
Key Takeaways
This redesign reinforced the importance of mobile-first design, user-centered UI improvements, and psychological conversion triggers in eCommerce. By streamlining the PDP and prioritizing usability, the new design enhances engagement, reduces friction, and drives higher sales.
